In Armenia and Azerbaijan, tragedies were mentioned.

On the anniversary of the tragedy in Sumgait, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Speaker of Parliament Alain Simonyan laid wreaths at the memorial in Cicernakaberd in memory of the victims.
The pogroms of the Armenian population in the Azerbaijani city of Sumgait on 27 and 29 February 1988 resulted in dozens of victims and hundreds of wounded. This was a landmark event and a turning point in the exacerbation of inter-ethnic conflict.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia said that Baku is today trying to expel Armenians from the territory of Nagorny Karabakh. The Lachin corridor linking the region to Armenia has been closed for almost 80 days.
The day before, Azerbaijani residents paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Khojaly genocide. On the night of 25-26 February 1992, Armenian units with the participation of the 366th Regiment of the former Soviet Army attacked the city of Khojaly, killing 613 inhabitants. The fate of 197 of them is still unknown.
