The 44-day war, which ended on November 9, brought Azerbaijan victory and the liberation of the Karabakh region.
By decree of the President of Azerbaijan, September 27 was declared Remembrance Day in honor of the heroes who gave their lives for the country's territorial integrity. As a result of the conflict, 2,907 service members, honored as martyrs, were killed.
