In most regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, at least 90% of voters voted for Putin

The regions of the North Caucasus showed a very high percentage of votes for Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation, held on March 15-17. Thus, according to regional election commissions, in Chechnya they reported 98.9%. Next in descending order are Kabardino-Balkaria (92.6%), Karachay-Cherkessia (90.1%), North Ossetia (90%), Ingushetia (89.6%) and Stavropol Territory (88.6%).

In general, the Central Election Commission processed almost all ballots in the Russian Federation. Here is the data the commission provides: Vladimir Putin - 87.2%, Nikolai Kharitonov - 4.3%, Vladislav Davankov - 3.8%, Leonid Slutsky - 3.2%. The turnout for the elections was 77.4%, which is a record in the Russian Federation.

The CEC will officially announce the election results on March 21.
