In Chechnya and Dagestan, SVO members were sentenced to six years
Akhmed Tsitskiev, who served under contract in one of the Chechen units, was sentenced to six years in prison. Despite having a concussion and a wound, he was found guilty of abandoning the military unit.

In November 2023, Tsitskiev did not show up at the temporary deployment point and lived at home until June 2024. He explained his escape by the need to treat a concussion and minor shrapnel wounds. He also expressed a desire to continue serving in the SVO. However, he was still sentenced to six years in prison.

In Dagestan, mobilized Khaibulla Gamzaev also received six years in prison. In 2023, he was sentenced to a fine and a suspended sentence for drug possession and traffic violations. After that, the man escaped from his unit and lived at home.

In court, Gamzayev stated that he had been injured in a traffic accident during his escape and was unable to report for duty because of it. He also cited two injuries he had received in the SVO and the award of the Medal for Bravery, Second Class. However, the court sentenced him to six years in prison.
