The trial in the case of Nikita Zhuravel will continue in Chechnya

Today, the Visaitovsky Court of Grozny will continue the trial of student Nikita Zhuravel, accused of burning the Koran. Let us remind you that on December 20, the court completed the interrogation of the victims - 13 imams of mosques in Grozny. They declared the moral damage that Zhuravel caused to them and all Muslims with his act.

In May 2023, a student from Volgograd burned the Koran near the cathedral mosque. In Grozny he is being tried for publicly insulting the feelings of believers and hooliganism.

Zhuravel, who was beaten by the son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov, in August, partially admitted his guilt and apologized. Previously, his arrest was extended until April 20 this year.
