In Chechnya, it was reported that employees of a pre-trial detention center were involved because Kadyrov’s son beat a prisoner

The Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee for Chechnya reported that after conducting a procedural check against the employees of the pre-trial detention center No. 1 of Grozny, they were subject to “disciplinary liability.” The reason was the admission to the detention center of the minor Adam Kadyrov, who beat the prisoner Nikita Zhuravel, accused of burning the Koran.

Let us recall that in August 2023, 19-year-old student from Volgograd Nikita Zhuravel stated that he was beaten by the son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov, in a pre-trial detention center in Grozny. Later, Ramzan Kadyrov published a video of the beating, approving his son’s action.

The police refused to initiate a criminal case, citing the fact that Adam Kadyrov. has not reached the age of majority. Later, a court in Grozny sentenced Nikita Zhuravel to 3.5 years in prison. He was found guilty of burning the Koran. The young man admitted his guilt and apologized.
