A court in Makhachkala arrested ex-riot police officer Aris Jafarov for two months. He, being drunk while driving, hit and killed a boy.
Aris Jafarov is a 48-year-old ex-deputy commander of the 4th operational OMON company of the Russian Guard. On March 22, he was driving a Cadillac and collided with pedestrians near the Karaman shopping center. A 13-year-old boy died, his aunt is in hospital in serious condition. She has an open craniocerebral injury, a closed abdominal injury and pelvic bone fractures.
