A criminal case has been opened against the editor-in-chief of a republican newspaper in Dagestan
A criminal case for fraud has been opened in Dagestan against Magomed Magomedov, the editor-in-chief of the republican newspaper "Molodezh Dagestan."
According to investigators, Magomedov, while previously serving as the general director of RIA "Dagestan," fictitiously employed individuals who did not actually perform their duties and transferred budget funds to them. He is also suspected of entering into fictitious contracts for services that were never actually provided, which led to the theft of budget funds on an especially large scale.
Magomed Magomedov took over the "Molodezh Dagestan" newspaper in April 2025, having previously headed RIA "Dagestan."
