The Moscow City Court has upheld the decision of the Nikulinsky District Court to confiscate the assets of Vladimir Kayshev, the former chairman of the Karachay-Cherkessia government.
The Georgian human rights organization "Center for Social Justice" expressed concern about the statement of the migration department of the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs that human rights are not violated in the Russian Federation. In this regard, Russian citizens should not count on international protection.
The Center explained that the case analysis reveals the practice of improper assessment of applicants' evidence on the part of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"These evidences relate to the facts of violence and inappropriate treatment on the part of law enforcement agencies of Russia against persons expressing protest against the Kremlin regime and the full-scale war in Ukraine, as well as openly supporting Ukraine," the report says.
The organization notes that in these cases, the Georgian authorities do not take into account the reports of international organizations and numerous public assessments, which clearly demonstrate the facts of inappropriate treatment of activists by the Russian law enforcement agencies and the prison administration.
