Georgia rejects allegations of providing Russians with a corridor to travel to Europe

Claims that direct flights between Georgia and the Russian Federation will increase the flow of Russians to Europe are unfounded, according to Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party. That is how he responded to the statement of the US Ambassador.

Recall that recently Kelly Degnan said that the Russians use Georgia to travel to Europe, which closed the doors for them. Kobakhidze objected that many more people enter Georgia by land than by air. “Therefore, the fact that flights will somehow affect the flow of passengers to Europe is absurd,” Kobakhidze said.

Meanwhile, the frequency of flights between Moscow and Tbilisi is increasing. The Russian airline "Azimuth" from July 5 will operate two flights daily - not only in the morning, but also in the evening. Georgian Airways, which also operates daily flights, will add three new flights per week.
