The Supreme Court of Kazakhstan has suspended the extradition of Chechen activist Mansur Movlayev to Russia. The decision was made pending the consideration of his claim against the denial of refugee status, according to lawyer Murat Adam.
Opposition rally held in Georgia
A demonstration of opposition supporters against the results of the parliamentary elections was held in Tbilisi. Participants marched to the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue and held a protest there.
The opposition march in Tbilisi ended at Marjanishvili Square. Participants chanted "Putin is a f--k!" This is the second protest rally after the elections. The first took place on October 28, two days after the announcement of the preliminary results of the vote.
The ruling party of Georgia, Georgian Dream, gained 54.2% of the votes in the elections. Four opposition parties together gained 37.3% of the votes, including: Coalition of Changes - 10.8%, Unity - National Movement - 10.07%, Strong Georgia - 8.7%, Gakharia - for Georgia - 7.7%.
