A rally in support of Palestine was held in Georgia

A demonstration in support of Palestine took place in the city of Marneuli in southern Georgia. About 100 participants held Palestinian flags and recited prayers. As the akhund (head of the Muslim clergy) of the Marneuli Red Mosque Gadzhi Gadzhiev noted, people gathered in order to “raise their voices against the Zionist Israeli regime” and against the torture of the “oppressed Palestinian population.”

“Today we see that international organizations do not react, and they continue to commit crimes. We hope God will soon put an end to this cruelty. Truth will triumph on Earth. We ask God for patience for the people who are oppressed there,” said Gadzhi Gadzhiev.

In his address, the representative of the Caucasian Muslim Office in Georgia, Ali Aliyev, criticized Israel, the USA, Germany, Italy, France, the UK, NATO member states and the EU, calling them “terrorist states”. According to Aliyev, for the third week the people of Palestine have been witnessing “crimes committed by the Zionist Israeli regime in Gaza.” He also noted that Israel has constantly committed criminal acts in the Gaza Strip, but now it is not alone. In this he is condoned by the number one terrorist country in the world - the United States.

Earlier, official Tbilisi expressed support for Israel. The Foreign Minister, the Speaker of Parliament and the President of Georgia held meetings with the Israeli Ambassador to Georgia.
