The Nalchik Garrison Military Court found contractor Murat Khapov guilty of involuntarily deserting the unit. He was sentenced to five years and six months in prison.
According to the investigation, on February 2, 2024, the serviceman voluntarily left the deployment point of the military unit and went home. Four months later, Khapov was detained. He admitted himself guilty and repented.
In early January, a court in Nalchik sentenced contractor Ruslan Hasanov to five years of conditional imprisonment. He was also found guilty of arbitrarily abandoning the unit.
