In Kabardino-Balkaria, a member of the SVO was sentenced to 21 years for another murder and rape

The Nalchik Garrison Military Court convicted a serviceman listed on the court's website as Wilhelm (his full name is not provided).

According to the investigation, on November 23, 2024, Wilhelm left his military unit without permission. His absence continued until March 13, 2025, when he was detained.

During his absence, Wilhelm committed a number of crimes, including rape and other sexual assault against a woman (in February 2025), and the infliction of grievous bodily harm on another woman, resulting in her death (in March 2025).

It was established that Wilhelm had multiple previous convictions and entered military service from a penal colony.

The court found Wilhelm guilty under the following articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: subparagraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 132 (other acts of a sexual nature involving violence), subparagraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 131 (rape), Part 4 of Article 111 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting through negligence in the death of the victim), and Part 5 of Article 337 (unauthorized abandonment of the place of service during mobilization). The defendant was sentenced to 21 years' imprisonment.
