High-ranking officials were detained in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic

FSB officers conducted searches in the homes of high-ranking officials of Karachay-Cherkessia. They are suspected of embezzling 60 million rubles.

The criminal group, as the media write, misappropriated targeted subsidies that the state allocated for the development of agriculture in the republic. During the searches, expensive cars, watches, wads of money and a gold pistol were found.

According to telegram channels, adviser to the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Eldar Baichorov, head of the economic security department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the republic Temirlan Baikulov and several employees of the Ministry of Agriculture were detained.

The investigation established that the organizer of the fraudulent scheme was the head of the department of the anti-corruption committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Khusei Uzdenov. According to preliminary data, the subsidies were issued to his relatives.
