The number of people injured in a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on the southern Russian city of Volgograd has risen to nine after rescuers recovered the body of a woman from the rubble of a residential building struck overnight on July 31.
Two Ukrainian drones shot down in North Ossetia
Ukrainian drones attempted to attack the Mozdok military airfield in North Ossetia. There were no preliminary casualties or damage, the regional leadership reported. The head of North Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, reminded that filming and distributing photos and videos from the drone crash sites is prohibited.
On June 8, Ukrainian drones attacked North Ossetia for the first time. Their target was also the military airfield in Mozdok. All three aircraft were shot down.
The Russian Defense Ministry called the incident "an attempt by the Kyiv regime to commit a terrorist attack" using an unmanned aerial vehicle. North Ossetia is located at a significant distance from the combat zone in Ukraine. The distance is about 900 km.
