A woman was detained in Stavropol on suspicion of attempting to assassinate a Defense Ministry employee
The Federal Security Service (FSB) detained an 18-year-old woman in Stavropol on suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack against a Defense Ministry officer. According to the FSB, the woman, acting on instructions from Ukrainian intelligence agencies, obtained a homemade explosive device equivalent to 400 grams of TNT and planned to plant it on a vehicle near a military base.
The FSB claims that in December 2025, the woman fell under the influence of telephone scammers who, under threat of criminal prosecution, coerced her into committing the crime. A criminal case has been opened on charges of attempted terrorist attack and illegal possession and manufacture of explosives.
