In France, a native of Ingushetia was accused of murder in connection with terrorist activities

20-year-old native of Ingushetia Mohammed Mogushkov was officially charged with murder in connection with terrorist activities and participation in a terrorist association. On October 13, in Arras, France, he killed a teacher and wounded two other employees of the school where he had previously studied.

Mogushkov's younger brother was charged under the same articles. Their cousin is accused of criminal omission.

The older brother was sentenced to five years in prison in 2017 for promoting the banned organization Islamic State.
After his arrest, a video was found on the phone of 20-year-old Mohammed Mogushkov in which he swears allegiance to ISIS. Investigators believe the attack at the French school was planned.

After this incident, the French Interior Ministry received permission to expel about 60 people included in the “S list” for radical Islamism, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said. Among them are immigrants from Chechnya and other republics of the North Caucasus.
