Chechen fighting for Ukraine removed from Interpol's wanted list
Interpol has removed 64-year-old Chechen native Muslim Madiyev from its wanted list. He is one of the commanders of the Dzhokhar Dudayev battalion fighting for Ukraine. It is unknown on what grounds and when exactly Madiyev was included in the wanted list.

In February 2023, a criminal case was opened in Chechnya against Madiyev under Part 2 of Article 205. 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for terrorist activity). The reason was his interview with the North Caucasus Front channel on September 2, 2022.

Earlier, security forces in Chechnya took several of Madiyev's relatives for "conversations". This happened after he gave an interview to the Chechen opposition Telegram channel 1ADAT.

Muslim Madiyev is a Chechen and Ukrainian military leader, an active participant in the Russian-Chechen wars of the 1990s and 2000s, a supporter of the collapse of the Russian Federation and the independence of Chechnya. Since 2016, he has been participating in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
