Residents of the North Caucasus have the least access to buying and maintaining a new car

In the Russian Federation, the share of families that are able to buy and own a new inexpensive car on credit is 18.9%. However, in the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District there are much fewer of them, noted RIA Novosti.

The last places in the country (84th and 85th) were taken by Chechnya and Ingushetia. In them, 3.1% and 2.6% of families, respectively, can buy a car worth a million rubles and 0.7% each - worth 2.6 million rubles.

In 79th place is North Ossetia (6.1% and 1%), in 80th place is Karachay-Cherkessia (5.5% and 1.1%), in 82nd place is Dagestan (4.7% and 1%), in 83rd place – Kabardino-Balkaria (4.4% and 0.9%).

The leader of the rating was the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where almost 60% of families can afford a car for a million rubles. Next come the Magadan Region and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug with results of 50.4% and 48.5%, respectively. On average in the Russian Federation, only 5.8% of families can purchase an average-priced new car for 2.6 million rubles.
