Residents of the North Caucasus continue to reduce spending on alcohol and cigarettes
Dagestan, Ingushetia and Chechnya have become leaders in the Russian Federation in reducing spending on alcohol and cigarettes. On average, residents spent less than 100 rubles per month for these purposes for three people.
 
In Dagestan, spending on alcohol and tobacco decreased by 75%, in Ingushetia - by 70%, in Chechnya - by 23%. A decrease in spending on these needs was also recorded in Karachay-Cherkessia and North Ossetia, where they are also minimal - 570 and 720 rubles for three people. At the same time, in Kabardino-Balkaria, spending on this item increased by 66.5%, reaching 1,471 rubles per month for three people.
 
In general, in more than half of the regions of the Russian Federation, alcohol and tobacco consumption increased last year. The anti-leaders were Chukotka (5,200 rubles per month for three), Kamchatka (4,900 rubles), as well as Buryatia, Smolensk and Belgorod regions, where the corresponding expenses increased by 2 times.
