The republics of the North Caucasus are named outsiders in the ability of residents with a median (average) salary to save 1 million rubles. The last places among the regions of the Russian Federation - 85th and 84th - are occupied by Ingushetia (10.6 years) and Chechnya (10.4 years). These are the results of the RIA Novosti study.

Dagestan is in 82nd place: here, the period for saving a million will be 10 years. Also among the laggards are Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia with an indicator of 9.8 years. At the same time, in Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan, about half of the residents are not able to save 1 million even in the above-mentioned periods.

The leader of the rating was the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. You can save 1 million rubles in this region in four years and one month. In 2nd place is Yamal, in 3rd place is Magadan Region. Moscow and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug occupy 4th and 5th places respectively with indicators of less than five years.

The calculation assumed that the average worker with a median salary puts 10% of their labor income into a bank account.
