The investigation into the circumstances surrounding former Armenian President Armen Sarkissian's possible foreign citizenship is ongoing. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

A criminal case has been opened against Mansur Gneev, a Muslim blogger from the Krasnodar Krai who was arrested for allegedly criticizing the "Russian Community." A linguistic examination has been ordered based on his statements.

The Georgian Central Election Commission reported that representatives of the ruling party received the majority of votes in the local elections. Thus, incumbent Mayor Kakha Kaladze was re-elected for a third term (71.58% of the vote), Nino Latsabidze became Mayor of Rustavi (91.933%), Davit Eremeishvili became Mayor of Kutaisi (85.649%), and Giorgi Tsintsadze became Mayor of Batumi (80.616%). According to the Central Election Commission, Beka Vacharadze, the Georgian Dream mayoral candidate for Poti, received 100% of the vote.

Local elections in Georgia are taking place amid mass protests. In the capital, protesters gathered at their traditional location – the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue. Students also organized a protest march from Tbilisi State University's first building toward Freedom Square. Participants held signs reading, "When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes a duty!"

Bidzina Ivanishvili, founder and honorary chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party, commented briefly on the municipal elections taking place in the country today.

Russian authorities will allocate over 10 million rubles in compensation to the families of those killed and injured in the terrorist attacks in Dagestan in the summer of 2024, when churches and synagogues were attacked. Over 7.8 million rubles will be allocated for payments to the families of the deceased, and over 1.8 million rubles will be allocated for those injured.

Four residents of Dagestan are being held in a Rostov-on-Don pretrial detention center on terrorism charges.
