The subjects of the North Caucasus were among the regions with the lowest level of mortgage lending. Over the past year, only three mortgage loans were issued in Ingushetia per thousand economically active residents - this is the lowest figure in the country (85th place).

The last 15 patients who were treated after mass poisoning by drinking water have been discharged from the hospital in the Magaramkent district of Dagestan. In total, 450 people sought medical treatment as a result of the outbreak of acute intestinal infection that affected five villages of the municipality. Mostly children were affected - 422 out of 450 people poisoned by drinking water.

Azerbaijani publication Minval Politika obtained a photo of Dmitry Paladichuk, the commander of the Pantsir-S air defense missile system, allegedly responsible for the strike on the AZAL plane on December 25, 2024. Paladichuk serves in the 1st division of the 80th anti-aircraft missile regiment (military unit No. 75564) of the 14th Army of the Russian Air Force and Air Defense.

A gesture of support for Ukraine from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has caused anger in Russian propaganda circles. During the III Shusha Global Media Forum, Ukrainian journalist Elena Kurbanova presented Aliyev with Ukrainian Armed Forces chevrons, to which he responded with words of gratitude: "Thank you for what you are doing. Keep up the good work."

Semyon Subbotin, 25, who previously served in the missile forces in the Ivanovo region, left Russia in September 2024 and went to Armenia. Moscow put him on the interstate wanted list under the article on unauthorized abandonment of a unit.

At a media forum in Stepanakert, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev praised the recent statement by the Armenian Prime Minister. Nikol Pashinyan noted that "it was necessary to recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan earlier." Aliyev emphasized that he had repeatedly offered Pashinyan this option over the years.

A court in Cherkessk sentenced five members of the organization "Citizens of the USSR", banned in the Russian Federation, to 5-8 years in a general regime penal colony. Another four were given suspended sentences.

The Azerbaijani side is preparing documents to file a lawsuit against Russia in international courts. This was announced by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, according to the Minval publication. The lawsuit is related to the high-profile air crash that occurred in December last year.

The Makhachkala administration is concerned about the state of gas filling stations. According to the mayor of the capital, Dzhambulat Salavov, only 5% of the 100 operating gas stations comply with the requirements of the law. The remaining stations are divided into two groups: 55 with correctable violations and 45 with serious violations that pose a danger. The authorities plan to take measures against the latter.
