Magomed-Amin Gatagazhev, a native of Ingushetia, was released after eight months in a Croatian immigration prison. Russian authorities had requested his extradition. The refugee was accepted by the neighboring republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to Chechen Prime Minister Magomed Daudov, the Akhmad Kadyrov Foundation has allocated 43.3 billion rubles to support military operations in Ukraine. This amount was announced during a meeting with the republic's security forces.
According to Daudov, the deployment of personnel has also increased significantly: since the beginning of the "SVO," over 68,000 people have left Chechnya for the combat zone, over 24,000 of whom are volunteers, including those from other regions.
Daudov noted that measures to protect the republic's airspace have been implemented to strengthen its defenses. In particular, mobile fire teams have been formed and modern air defense systems and electronic warfare systems have been deployed.
The foundation, founded in 2004 and headed by Aymani Kadyrova (the mother of the Chechen leader), is subject to sanctions by the US, the EU, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
