In Stavropol, after the announcement, officials refused to impose fines for prayers in public places

The "International Association of Muslim Lawyers" (MAYUM) reported that the administration of the Andropovskogo district of the Stavropol region warned about the inadmissibility of performing prayers in public places. However, after the announcement, regional officials canceled the decision.

Initially, the leadership of the Stavropol district stated that prayers performed in public places are considered non-coordinated mass events, which may entail administrative responsibility. Later, a statement was issued, according to which the first prescription was deemed irrelevant.

"There are no fines. We all live in a legal field, in a single country where representatives of different nationalities live in peace and harmony," said the text signed by Stavropol Deputy Minister for National Policy and Cossack Affairs Vladyslav Kalkhidov.

In addition, Nina Bobrysheva, head of the Andropovskoye municipality of Stavropol, made a statement. According to her, in case of errors, they are corrected as quickly as possible.

"I would like to appeal to all our residents with the assurance that the Andropovsky district is a place where all nationalities and religions are treated with respect," she said.
