Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that during the 44-day war in Karabakh, an information campaign was launched against Azerbaijan with the aim of accusing Ankara of supporting Baku. He emphasized that these accusations relied on the rhetoric of Ankara's opponents and spread false information about Turkish arms supplies to Azerbaijan.
Drug addiction statistics in the regions of the North Caucasus are uneven and in some cases exceed the average for Russia.
According to the Russian Ministry of Health for 2024, 12.1 cases of newly diagnosed drug addiction per 100 thousand residents were registered in North Ossetia, which is the highest rate in the North Caucasus Federal District.
The situation in other republics of the North Caucasus Federal District is as follows: Kabardino-Balkaria - 8 cases per 100 thousand residents, Stavropol Krai - 5.7, Karachay-Cherkessia - 3.6, Ingushetia - 2.1, Dagestan - 1.2, Chechnya - 0.5.
The highest rates in the country were recorded in Khabarovsk Krai (19.6), Novosibirsk (18.4) and Sverdlovsk Oblasts (17.7). The lowest are in the Chukotka and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, as well as in the Astrakhan Region and Kalmykia.
