Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the European Commission has been provided with complete and reliable information on the activities of the Kulevi port, confirming compliance with the sanctions regime. The statement came amid discussions of the 20th EU sanctions package against Russia, which, according to media reports, may include the Georgian port.
Amid the ongoing normalization of relations between Yerevan and Baku, Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope for expanded economic cooperation, particularly the establishment of exports of Armenian goods to Azerbaijan.
"I hope that bilateral trade between Armenia and Azerbaijan will soon be established. Currently, there are imports from Azerbaijan to Armenia, and I hope that there will be exports from Armenia to Azerbaijan," he stated.
Pashinyan also said he considers it logical to express gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev in cases where Azerbaijani actions directly benefit Armenia. He explained that Yerevan is obliged to clearly and publicly express its position on positive steps such as lifting restrictions on wheat imports, ensuring free rail transit, and supplying Azerbaijani petroleum products.
