The Prime Minister of Armenia spoke about the army and weapons

Armenia is moving along the path of acquiring new modern weapons and equipment. In recent years, the government has signed contracts to purchase weapons and ammunition worth several billion dollars. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at the celebration of Army Day.

Previously, Armenia acquired some weapons from France and negotiated supplies from other Western countries.

In addition, the new uniform for the Armenian army will take into account NATO standards. In the process of its creation, samples of military uniforms of the Armed Forces of the USA, France, Greece, and the Czech Republic were studied.

“You cannot have an army based on outdated standards and ideas about military affairs: this means questioning the existence of the state itself. Changes are needed in everything - from uniforms to the ideological training of the military. No professional army alone is able to protect the country's security in war conditions. Having a combat-ready reserve is our next strategic task,” Pashinyan shared.
