Media: in Chechnya, the training of volunteers for the war with Ukraine is financed by a businessman close to Kadyrov

One of the main points in the Russian Federation for the training of volunteers for the war in Ukraine - the Special Forces University in Gudermes - is funded by the Chechen oligarch and businessman, a fellow villager of Ramzan Kadyrov, Movsadi Alviyev. In addition, the training center itself is built on a piece of land leased by a company linked to a Chechen businessman. This was reported by the Internet edition of "Important Stories".

From the beginning of 2022 to the spring of 2023, the institution spent 980 million rubles on salaries, rent and equipment. Of these, the university received 460 million from the Chechen JSC "Republican Management Company" through a chain of companies associated with Alviyev.

During the war, the university focused on recruiting volunteers. According to the head of Chechnya, in April last year, for example, 200 people a week passed through the training center, that is, we are talking about thousands of graduates.
