15-year-old Chechen boy Muslim Murdiyev was transferred from a Moscow pretrial detention center to a juvenile correctional facility in the Volgograd region. The boy's mother appealed to Vladimir Putin and Ramzan Kadyrov, asking them to ensure her son's safety.
According to RIA Rating, six of the seven regions in the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) have the highest share of overdue household debt to banks in Russia. Leading the list are Ingushetia (with a 25.5% share of overdue debt), Chechnya (14.6%), and Dagestan (14.4%).
North Ossetia (10.1%), Karachay-Cherkessia (9.3%), and Kabardino-Balkaria (8%) also ranked among the worst. Other regions in this group include Tyva, Altai, Adygea, and the Tambov Region.
The most conscientious payers were residents of Sevastopol (2.6%), Crimea (3.1%), and St. Petersburg (3.2%).
Overall, the share of overdue debt in Russia was 4.5%, representing a 0.6% increase over the year. The most significant increases were seen in Dagestan (+5.5%), Chechnya (+5.2%), and Ingushetia (+4.6%).
