The former head of the Dagestan Pension Fund has had his money and property worth 118.9 million rubles confiscated

In Karachay-Cherkessia, a court upheld the Prosecutor General's Office's claim against the former head of the Dagestan Pension Fund, Sagid Murtazaliev (who is currently wanted), and his relatives: Tatyana Merginova, Alla Murtazalieva, and Dzhamaldin Pashayev.

The Prosecutor General's Office claims that during Murtazaliev's tenure as head of the Pension Fund (from 2010 to 2015), his official income was 4.5 million rubles. However, the office believes he received corrupt proceeds, which he used to purchase real estate registered to relatives. The value of this property is estimated at 417 million rubles.

Ultimately, the court ordered the confiscation of five properties and 118.9 million rubles from Murtazaliev and his relatives, who acted as nominal owners.

Sagid Murtazaliev was arrested in absentia in 2015 on charges of committing several serious crimes. He is accused of organizing the murder of the head of the Kizlyar District gas service, OOO Dagestangasservis, and the deputy head of the Center for Combating Extremism at the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dagestan, as well as the attempted murder of the deputy head of the Kizlyar administration. Murtazaliev is also accused of financing terrorist activity.
