In Chechnya, a new criminal case was opened on the fact of an attack on journalist Milashina and lawyer Nemov

A new criminal case has been opened in Grozny in connection with the attack on lawyer Alexander Nemov and journalist Yelena Milashina. It contains a list of articles - about obstructing the activities of a journalist, about threatening to kill a lawyer, as well as about illegal imprisonment, robbery, illegal possession of a car and theft of documents. Earlier, the case was opened under the article on the intentional infliction of light and moderate bodily harm.

Recall that on July 4, about 10-15 masked men attacked journalist Elena Milashina and lawyer Alexander Nemov on the way from the airport in Grozny. They were on their way to the announcement of the verdict in the case of Zarema Musayeva, who was sentenced to five and a half years on trumped-up charges. Both victims received serious injuries. They were taken first to a local hospital, then to North Ossetia, and then to a Moscow clinic. Now the lawyer and the journalist are undergoing treatment at home.
