In the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District, industrial production has collapsed compared to 1990

This year, production in the Russian Federation for the first time exceeded the level of the RSFSR in 1990. At the same time, the indicators of most regions of the North Caucasus have collapsed, reports Equality.Media.

Approximately half of the country's regions are experiencing an increase in production. However, the collapse of industry in comparison with the penultimate Soviet year is now recorded in Ingushetia (-41%), Kabardino-Balkaria (-56%), Chechnya (-57%), Altai (-58%) and North Ossetia (-63%). These regions showed the worst results.

The main production is concentrated in Moscow (14.2% share of the total volume of goods and materials produced). The top five also included Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Yamal Autonomous Okrug, Moscow Region and Tatarstan.
