The North Caucasus Federal District has the lowest salaries for doctors and nursing staff

Doctors' salaries vary greatly across Russia's regions, according to the "To Be Precise" study. The lowest doctor salaries are recorded in Ingushetia (65,000 rubles), Kabardino-Balkaria (67,000), Kalmykia (69,000), Chechnya (70,000), and Karachay-Cherkessia (71,000). The highest doctor salaries are in the Yamalo-Nenets (241,000) and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs (197,000). Moscow ranks only ninth (144,000 rubles).

A similar picture is observed among mid-level medical personnel. The lowest salaries are in the North Caucasus republics: in Ingushetia (32,000 rubles), in Chechnya (35,000), and in Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria (36,000 and 37,000 rubles, respectively). Mid-level medical personnel earn the most in Yamal (124,000), the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (106,000), and the Magadan Region (103,000). However, wages are declining across Russia as a whole, with most regions either growing slightly or declining.
