A Chechen village resident raised a record-breaking bull weighing nearly 1.9 tons

A farmer in Chechnya has managed to raise the largest bull in the North Caucasus and the world. Grozny-Inform reported this, specifying that the animal weighs nearly 1.9 tons.

Mayrbek Yunusov, a native of the Chechen village of Mairtup, has run a butcher shop in Argun for over 13 years, accumulating extensive experience working with cattle. He said he always tried to find the largest animals for his business. For example, the Australian Simmental bull he once purchased became one of the most successful purchases of his life.

Currently, the four-year-old bull, standing 180 cm tall, weighs between 1800 and 1900 kg (at its last measurement, it exceeded 1860 kg). For comparison, according to available data, the largest bulls in the world have been recognized as animals weighing between 1600 and 1800 kg. According to Mayrbek, during the fattening period, the animal consumes over 20 kg of feed per day, while the average bull needs less than 10 kg. The farmer notes that, despite its formidable appearance and impressive size, the animal is very docile and readily allows itself to be petted.

According to the owner, he intends to offer the record-breaking bull for a decent price, although he has so far rejected an offer of 3.5 million rubles.

"Farmers from neighboring regions have come to see for themselves. When they saw my bull, their jaws dropped in amazement. I also receive many calls from interested people. I welcome everyone. If anyone wants to see for themselves, they are welcome," the farmer shared.
