Ingushetia resident sentenced for incitement to terrorism
The Southern District Military Court sentenced Ingushetia resident Yunus Bitiev to 6 years in prison. He was found guilty of incitement to terrorism.
The investigation claims that Bitiev posted materials on social networks justifying terrorism and allegedly intended to become a "shahid." According to security officials, components of a homemade explosive device were found during a search of his apartment.
Criminal cases were opened against the man under Part 2 of Article 205.2 and Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for terrorist activity and illegal acquisition, sale, storage of explosives). In addition to the actual term, he was fined 210 thousand rubles.
