A memorial plaque unveiled in the Chechen capital honors the passengers and crew of the Azerbaijani Embraer 190 airliner that crashed in late December last year. The plaque bears the inscription, "Eternal memory to those who perished in the plane crash. Your names will forever remain in our hearts."
Ramil Dolaev, a resident of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, has been brought to administrative responsibility for distributing songs of the Chechen bard Timur Mutsuraev on one of the social networks. He made publicly available the composition “Islamic Sum,” which the court had previously considered extremist material.
Dolaev said that he did not know about the ban on the song. He was given the mildest punishment under the article - a fine of 2,000 rubles.
Timur Mutsuraev has become popular since the first Russian-Chechen war. Initially, he sang songs in Russian about war, brotherhood, duty and fallen comrades. Later, texts of a religious nature were added to the theme. The list of “extremist” songs includes about 30 compositions by the artist.
