The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Chechnya has opened a criminal case over the attempted murder of law enforcement officers. This concerns yesterday's attack on a traffic police post in Achkhoy-Martan.

The prosecutor has asked for 17 years of strict regime imprisonment for 41-year-old Osman Abdurazakov, 51-year-old Leman Zekeryaev, 31-year-old Ayder Asanov, and 39-year-old Ekrem Krosh. They want to sentence 69-year-old Khalil Mambetov and 55-year-old Refat Seidametov to 17 and a half years of imprisonment.

In the city of Achkhoy-Martan, on Kadyrov Street, an unknown man attacked a road patrol post with a knife. Two police officers were injured and taken to the hospital. This was reported by RT, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.

The Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Tamerlan Tsgoev, recalled his request addressed to Abkhazia. It is for the self-proclaimed republic to strip the Chechen field commander Shamil Basayev of all state awards and titles. In the Russian Federation, he is recognized as a terrorist.

A participant in the "special military operation" from North Ossetia, Arsen Temiraev, told how in 2023 he was attacked by military police in Tokmak, Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine. The security forces broke into the courtyard of the house occupied by their platoon and opened indiscriminate shooting, accompanied by curses.
