According to Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov, approximately 5 million Russians will be involved in the informal economy by 2025. He noted that the situation is most severe in the North Caucasus regions, particularly Ingushetia and Dagestan, as well as Tyva and Kalmykia.

Based on the 2024 results, Ingushetia and Chechnya ranked 85th and 83rd among Russian regions in terms of material well-being. Tuva ranked between them.

Fuel prices in Dagestan and Chechnya rose sharply in September, making these regions among the worst-rated regions for this indicator. According to Rosstat, gasoline prices increased by almost 14.7% in Dagestan and by 16% in Chechnya.

According to the Ministry of Construction and DOM.RF, Ingushetia leads all Russian regions in terms of per capita housing provision. At the end of 2024, this figure in the republic was 15.9 square meters, significantly lower than the Russian average (29.4 square meters).

Fuel reserves at oil depots in Stavropol Krai are estimated to be sufficient to meet the region's needs, however, some gas stations are experiencing temporary supply disruptions for certain types of gasoline. This was announced by the press service of the Stavropol Krai Ministry of Energy, Industry, and Communications.

Mortgage affordability in the North Caucasus remains low. A rating compiled by RIA Novosti shows that less than 10% of families in most regions of the North Caucasus Federal District can afford a mortgage to purchase a 60 square meter apartment.

According to official data, the largest increases in alcohol sales in Russia in the first eight months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024 were recorded in North Ossetia (+16.4%), Karachay-Cherkessia (+14%), and Ingushetia (+10.6%).

According to a report from the Accounts Chamber, the industrial production index declined in 38 Russian regions in the first six months of this year, but the most significant decline occurred in two republics of the North Caucasus. Dagestan recorded a 16% decline, while North Ossetia saw a 21.8% decline.
