According to the results of the fourth quarter of 2025, the North Caucasus regions ranked last in Russia's unemployment rankings, according to a RIA Novosti study. Ingushetia had the worst rate: 25.5% of the economically active population was unemployed, and the job search period lasted 5.8 months.

As of January 1, 2026, Lada cars are the leading brand in the North Caucasus region's vehicle fleet. They account for a remarkable 50.7%, equivalent to 1.3 million vehicles.

In 2025, residents of the North Caucasus regions consumed the least amount of hard liquor in Russia. The lowest official retail sales figures were recorded in Chechnya (0.01 liters per capita). A RIA Novosti study based on Central Bank data revealed that the republics of the North Caucasus have the highest proportion of problem mortgages in Russia. The delinquency rate in Ingushetia reached 10.4% of all issued loans, in Dagestan 4.4%, and in Tyva 4.2%. Chechnya and North Ossetia were also among the regions with high delinquency rates (3.6% each).

A CIAN study found that Ingushetia, Dagestan, and Tuva top the list of Russian regions for mortgage delinquency. In 2025, the average delinquency rate nationwide doubled, reaching 1% (compared to 0.5% the year before), while the total debt rose to 206 billion rubles (from 95 billion).
