The highest share of overdue credit debt in Russia as of March of this year was recorded among residents of Ingushetia (almost 21% of the total volume of loans). A high share of overdue debt was also found in Chechnya (9.4%), Dagestan (8.9%), North Ossetia (8.7%), Karachay-Cherkessia (7.7%) and Kabardino-Balkaria (6.2%). These regions took the last places in the RIA Novosti rating, compiled on the basis of official statistics.

As of the end of March 2025, the volume of multi-apartment housing under construction in the North Caucasus Federal District increased by 26% over the year. The figure amounted to 4.3 million sq. m.
