Ingushetia and Dagestan are among the top ten regions of Russia with the best road quality. According to the RIA Novosti rating, in which 54.8% of roads in the Russian Federation comply with standards, Ingushetia took 4th place (83.6%), and Dagestan - 9th (74.3%).

The republics of the North Caucasus continue to lag behind other regions of Russia in terms of salary levels. According to Rosstat, the average salary in Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya and North Ossetia ranges from 44 to 51 thousand rubles.

The subjects of the North Caucasus were among the regions with the lowest level of mortgage lending. Over the past year, only three mortgage loans were issued in Ingushetia per thousand economically active residents - this is the lowest figure in the country (85th place).

The Makhachkala administration is concerned about the state of gas filling stations. According to the mayor of the capital, Dzhambulat Salavov, only 5% of the 100 operating gas stations comply with the requirements of the law. The remaining stations are divided into two groups: 55 with correctable violations and 45 with serious violations that pose a danger. The authorities plan to take measures against the latter.

The State Duma has decided to extend Islamic banking in Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Tatarstan and Chechnya, as well as to develop standards in this area.

An analysis conducted by RIA Novosti shows that in most republics of the North Caucasus Federal District, an average family with one child will need from 5 to almost 7 years to accumulate funds sufficient to purchase an apartment of 60 square meters.

In the first quarter of 2025, the real cash income of the population of the CBD increased by almost 14%. This is the second indicator in Russia, noted the head of the region, Kazbek Kokov, at a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak.

The highest salaries in a number of regions of the North Caucasus are formed in the civil service. This is where many local residents are trying to get into.

By the end of May 2025, the volume of overdue mortgage payments in Ingushetia has increased more than threefold - from 134 to 422 million rubles. The indicator has almost doubled in North Ossetia: the outstanding debts of local residents have reached 1.8 billion rubles.

The average nominal salary in the North Caucasus Federal District in the period from January to April 2025 amounted to 51.3 thousand rubles. This is 13% more than in the same period last year, according to Rosstat data.
