In Chechnya and Ingushetia there was a collapse in housing construction

In Chechnya, between January and March 2023, 47% less housing was put into operation than in the same period of the previous year. In Ingushetia, the collapse amounted to 33%, as reported by the Rosstat Department for SFD.
In general, in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in January-March this year, 12.5% less housing was put into operation than in the same period of 2022.

The North Caucasus and Siberia have the highest number of able-bodied citizens under the age of 30 in 2022. The leaders on this indicator were Chechnya (26.4%), Dagestan (21.1%), Trans-Baikal Territory (19.2%), Altai (19%), Yakutia (18.8%), Irkutsk Region (18.7%) and Tyva (18.5%), according to Finiza analysts.

In the Russian Federation as a whole, the number of workers under the age of 35 fell by 1.3 million, reaching 21.5 million, or 29.8 per cent of all employees. It is the lowest in the country’s recent history. The number of young workers has been declining steadily over the past 10 years, down by 6 million.

Poverty and despair force the Russian population to take loans on a permanent basis. The highest share of overdue loans from the total amount of loans issued was recorded in Ingushetia - 10.1%.  Performance was slightly better in North Ossetia (7.8%), Karachaevo-Cherkessia (6.8%) and Chechnya (6.5%). These republics take places from 82 to 85 in the rating of the agency «RIA Rating». Stavropol region is located on the 80th line (5.7%), Kabardino-Balkaria - on the 77th (5.5%), Dagestan - on the 71st (5.1%).
