Chechnya, Transbaikalia and Ingushetia turned out to be the worst regions in terms of quality of life for people over 55. These are the data from the study of the project "If to Be Precise", which was based on the indicators for 2023.

The republics of the North Caucasus were at the bottom of the rating of Russian regions by salaries in various industries, compiled by RIA Novosti experts. The highest incomes in Ingushetia, Chechnya, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, North Ossetia, Dagestan and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic are paid in the civil service (57-63 thousand rubles on average). Since the beginning of 2025, 1.7 square meters of housing per capita have been built in Cherkessk. According to this indicator, the capital of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic ranks 1st in the North Caucasus Federal District and 17th in the country.

The highest mortgage rates in the Russian Federation in 2024 were recorded in Chechnya and Ingushetia - 14% and 13%, respectively. At the same time, the average level in the country was 8.7%.
